Commercial Control Assessment · Construction-first

Find the one job worth fixing before you spend on tools.

For Australian commercial trade contractors and subcontractors. We put the owner’s view next to what actually happens on site, name one job, size the leak conservatively, and hand you a four-day test. Most of the cost sits in the gap between what happened on site and what the commercial record can prove.

Clarity before commitment.

Clarity before commitment

Commercial Control Assessment

Use this when the business feels the friction — variations walking out the door, admin that never stops, or commercial control that only becomes clear after the fact — but the first job worth fixing is not yet clear.

What the Assessment delivers

  • One named commercial job, in one sentence
  • The owner’s view and site reality in the same picture
  • A conservative estimate of the time or cash leaking in that job
  • A written done-state — what “good” looks like on a Friday
  • Where a person must still sign; tools do not send
  • A four-day test plan — not a technology project
  • A clear decision at the end, including stop

What you can do with the results

  1. Run the four-day test yourself
  2. Take the 30-Day Job Sprint for that one job
  3. If the job is variation capture, start a Variation Shield pilot
  4. Stop

How it works

  1. 1Prepare
We confirm fit, scope and participants. You bring one recurring problem and, where possible, one redacted example.
  2. 2Owner Strategy Call
A 30-minute call to understand the commercial pressure, consequences and priority.
  3. 3Job Reality Session
A separate 30-minute call with the person closest to the work to understand what happens, where it waits and what repeats.
  4. 4Analyse and prepare
We name one primary job, quantify the opportunity and prepare a custom nine-slide report with a four-day first test.
  5. 5Walkthrough and decision
One 30-minute walkthrough to confirm the findings, answer questions and record the next route. Implementation is separate.

What we need from you

  • 30 minutes with the owner or decision-maker
  • 30 minutes with the person closest to the job
  • One redacted example, template, screenshot or record where possible
  • No perfect preparation pack required

Target turnaround: five to seven business days from the approved analytical source bundle to a debrief-ready pack. Review scheduling is separate. The Assessment fee is credited toward a 30-Day Sprint accepted within 14 days. AI is used only where it tightens the record. Sign-off stays human.

Focused implementation

30-Day Job Sprint

For when the priority job is already clear and you want it under control within 30 days. One job. One live project. Procedure, checks, and who may send.

What's included

  • Control definition — the done-state for this job
  • Procedure pack and templates
  • Checks — what makes a pack incomplete
  • Sign-off rule — who may send
  • One live run on your project
  • Operating guide, handover, and review by Day 30
When variation capture is the priority

Variation Shield

A ready-made control when the job is variation capture. It is not assumed to be every client’s problem and it is not bundled with the Assessment or the Sprint.

Live now

Variation Shield

Capture every scope change before it becomes a dispute. Your team records the instruction, photos, cost impact and approval trail while the work is still live.

The product is the notice and the trail a commercial manager cannot shrug off.

Construction judgement first

Practical advice from someone who knows the operating environment

Leveraged Systems was founded by Shane Little, a mechanical engineer and construction project manager with 15+ years across Tier 1, 2 and 3 projects.

He’s sat in the same meetings you’re in — watching scope changes leave site without a clear commercial trail, admin pile up after the fact, and legitimate variations become hard to recover.

The work starts with the construction problem, not the technology. We install commercial jobs. Sign-off stays with the contractor.

Start with the Assessment

Tell us which offer you want: Assessment, Sprint, or Variation Shield. A note about the current problem is helpful. You do not need to diagnose it first.

We’ll respond within one business day to arrange the suitability conversation.
